First listing: one winner, one supplier, one draft
New store, first SKU: pick a winner, source a supplier, import a draft, then set Active in Shopify. Shopify Help covers add-product and draft status.

Do not launch with forty products
A new store does not need a catalogue. It needs one SKU you can fulfil. Terry's operator loop on this product is the same for store one as store seven: select, source, sell. Forty thin listings is how you waste the first week.
Shopify's published steps, plus the research step they do not cover
Shopify Help: from admin, go to Products → Add product, enter details, save. Status can be Active, Draft, Archived, or Unlisted. Draft means it is not for sale yet. WHAT Shipping? fills the hole Shopify does not: which product to add. Pick from Radar or the public winners digest, find a potential AliExpress supplier, import the draft, then use Shopify's Add / status flow to publish.
Connect the store before you hit import
Import needs a signed-in account and a connected Shopify store. Guests get the signup door. After the draft lands, open it in Shopify — price, shipping policy, refund policy, and checkout are your store, not ours.

Common questions
- Can I add the product by hand instead of importing?
- Yes. Shopify Help documents Add product. Import is the fast path once you have a winner.
- Should my first product be an early Sonar mover?
- Only if you can source it and you accept more risk. Radar's established ranks are the safer first listing.
- Do you create the Shopify store for me?
- No. You create the store in Shopify, connect it, then import drafts.
